The 3rd P of Internet marketing is Profiling Profiling is basically what marketers want to know about you, such as who you are, what you want, how you want to be contacted and how often. The most successful route you can take is by putting control in the hands of the end-user. Provide them with the access to view and update their profiles at their will. By doing this you are giving them control over how you market to them. Rather than your customer un subscribing because you are sending them too many e-mails, let them be the one who controls it. Smart marketers use a variety of tools to engage their customers and gain valuable information. Such examples are using contests, questionnaires, and surveys to collect the data to enhance the marketing message to make it more effective. Next month I'll discuss the last P, personalization. |
