Happy New Year! Online Advertising Tips

Happy New Year! I hope 2010 has started off right Jenn Photo
for you. It has been a very busy month of January
here at JTracz Designs, but in this economy that is
a good thing!

I appreciate all of your comments after my newsletter goes out, so please keep them coming. Send me an
e-mail with your ideas.

Tip #2 for enhancing the success of your online advertising!

Make sure you provide a clear call to action

Remember that your customer may not know exactly what you are trying to get them to do. If you want them to quote a product, get more information or view a video - you need to tell them that. Draw attention to the action you want them to complete and you will see your success rate increase.

A quick thanks

I'd like to thank my friend Jose at Rios Computer Services for fixing my computer that had a couple of glitches over the month of January. He is great to do business with and treats his customers fair. If you need any computer advice, service or repairs, he's the one to call. If you are interested e-mail me and I'll give you his number!

Back to the 4 P's of Internet Marketing

The 3rd P of Internet marketing is Profiling

Profiling is basically what marketers want to know about you, such as who you are, what you want, how you want to be contacted and how often. The most successful route you can take is by putting control in the hands of the end-user. Provide them with the access to view and update their profiles at their will. By doing this you are giving them control over how you market to them. Rather than your customer un subscribing because you are sending them too many e-mails, let them be the one who controls it. Smart marketers use a variety of tools to engage their customers and gain valuable information. Such examples are using contests, questionnaires, and surveys to collect the data to enhance the marketing message to make it more effective. Next month I'll discuss the last P, personalization.

Presidential Marketing Facts

Here are a couple of interesting facts about how the names or slogans came about for some of today's popular brands.

Theodore Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt visited the real-life Maxwell House hotel in New Orleans and commented that its coffee was "good to the last drop!"

The Baby Ruth candy bar was named for Grover Cleveland's baby daughter Ruth, not for Babe Ruth.

Lincoln influenced the naming of Log Cabin syrup; founder T.J. Towle admired Abe, so he named his maple syrup for Abe's traditional birthplace, a log cabin.
