Great Support! Product Marketing Tip

I cannot begin to express my gratitude enough for the Jenn Phototremendous support I have received from all of you over the last month. I appreciate every single one of your comments regarding the design and content of this newsletter. October was an amazing success and since then I have met many new faces and have formed many new partnerships. I look forward to working with all of you now and in the future!

Don't forget... if there is a topic you'd like me to cover, send me an e-mail, and be sure to pass this newsletter along to anyone who may be interested!

Offer a Cheaper Version
Some of your prospective customers won't be willing to pay the asking price for your product or service. And others are more interested in paying a lower price than getting the best quality. You can avoid losing some of these sales by offering a smaller or stripped down version of your product or service at a lower price.

Offer a Premium Version
On the other hand not all customers are looking for a cheap price, many are willing to pay a higher price to get a premium product or service. You can boost the average size of the sale and total revenue by offering a more comprehensive product or service.

Marketing 101

In October's newsletter I introduced you to the four P's of e-mail marketing; permission, privacy, profiling and personalization. I talked about the first P, which is permission and promised I would discuss opting out this month. Next month I'll talk about the second P, which is privacy. For those of you who may have missed last month's, you can view the October newsletter here.

Do you know what the term opting out means? The term opt-out refers to several methods in which individuals can avoid receiving unsolicited product or service information. Opting out is most often associated with direct mail and e-mail campaigns. To stay in accordance with many SPAM laws, you must provide the option to opt out to anyone receiving your e-mails.

There are several programs that can do the dirty work for you, such as Constant Contact or my favorite Vertical Response. These programs allow you to give the recipients on your list the ability to opt out and then the program actually blocks you from being able to send to that person again. Why hassle with trying to remember to remove someone from your mailing list, when you can have a program handle it for you? I highly recommend Vertical Response.

Fun Fact

Did you know that the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade has been taking place for over 75 years? It started back in the 1920s when there were many immigrants who worked at Macys Department Store. They were excited to be in America and wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving. They were accustomed to flair and excitement from Europe, so they dressed like clowns and knights and paraded from 145th street to 34th street. And that's how it all began!

Special Thanks

I'd like to give a special thanks to my good friends at Fine Print of New England, who graciously provided me with printed materials this month. Give Jeff a call at (860) 953-0660 for any of your printing needs!
