Hello and Thank You! Advertising Tip

Thanks for reading the first newsletter presentedJenn Photo
by JTracz Designs! This newsletter will be sent
out monthly and contain tips and tricks for marketing your small business! If there is a topic you'd like
me to cover, send me an e-mail, and
I'll incorporate it into the next newsletter!

Don't Advertise Like a Big Business

Big businesses advertise to create name recognition
and future sales, as a small business you can't afford that. Instead, design your advertising to produce sales today, not in the future. One way to do this is to make sure you always include a time-sensitive offer in your advertising. This is a good way to get your prospective customers to respond quicker.

Marketing 101

You know the four P's of marketing, right? Product, Price, Promotion and Place. But did you know there are the four P's of e-mail marketing? Permission, Privacy, Profiling and Personalization?

E-mail marketing has become one of the cheapest and most effective parts of a small businesses' marketing plan and budget. Having said that, there are rules and tactics that all of us should follow when marketing through e-mail.

This month I will discuss the first P of e-mail marketing, Permission. The first thing for any successful e-mail list is to have permission. Getting a random list from the internet and sending it is considered SPAMMING.

So are wondering why you are recieving this newsletter from me? Well, if you are, chances are we met at a CABO event, IGLTA conference or another travel or gay related tradeshow or expo. If you'd prefer not to hear from me again, you can opt out at the bottom of this newsletter.

Opting out is another very important part of e-mail marketing and will be discussed in more detail next month.
